From SEON’s Executive Director

Dear Members,

I recently had the honor of representing SEON at the Vermont State House where I spoke about the vital importance of builder certification in our industry. This commitment to certification and continuous learning is integral to improving standards, combating fraud, and enhancing the reputation of builders in Vermont and beyond. We are not just about Vermont; we are extending our reach across New England and the Northeast, sharing our vision of sustainable, high-performance building.

SEON submitted an Opinion ArticleVermont’s housing crisis highlights need for quality builders – to media outlets throughout the state as a follow-up to the above Press Conference.  The Battleboro Reformer and the Vermont Business Magazine published the article and I’ve already heard from Associated Builders and Contractors of NH/VT about a potential partnership.

Our digital footprints are growing with the launch of our Instagram and TikTok accounts. This expansion allows us to connect with a broader audience, educating the public about the hallmarks of a good builder, thanks in part to Robert Swinburne’s Architectural Sketch Fridays.

We’re also reaching out to future builders with our ‘Greening Your Career‘ features. It’s our privilege to provide resources and inspire the next generation in their journey towards mastery in this field.

Please stay connected as we continue our mission to build a more sustainable, energy-efficient region. Your support and dedication are invaluable in this endeavor.
Best,
Guy Payne
Executive Director
