Build Your Future: SEON’s New Registered Apprenticeship Program for Carpenters and High-Performance Builders
Are you passionate about building, creating, and shaping the world around you? Do you dream of a rewarding career in the skilled trades? If so, SEON has exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce the development of a Registered Apprenticeship Program specifically designed for aspiring Carpenters and High-Performance Builders in Vermont and the surrounding New England area.
This isn’t your average apprenticeship. SEON’s program is a comprehensive 3-year journey that combines hands-on training with real-world experience, setting you up for success in the dynamic field of construction.
What Makes This Program Special?
- A Blend of Learning: Get the best of both worlds with over 400 hours of related instruction, split between classroom learning and hands-on projects (think building a tiny house!). You’ll also gain over 6000 hours of practical experience working alongside seasoned professionals.
- High-Performance Focus: This program goes beyond traditional carpentry, delving into the world of high-performance building techniques, equipping you with the skills to create energy-efficient and sustainable structures.
- Earn While You Learn: After an initial 3-month intensive training period at Bellows Falls Union High School’s wood shop, you’ll start earning a salary while working for a participating company. That’s right – get paid to build your skills!
- Advanced Standing for Graduates: If you’ve already completed a 2-year Building Trades program at a Vermont career and technology center, you’ll receive advanced standing in the apprenticeship, accelerating your path to mastery.
- Mentorship Matters: We believe in the power of mentorship. You’ll learn from experienced crew leaders and journey persons who are dedicated to guiding you every step of the way.
Why This Matters
The demand for skilled carpenters and high-performance builders is growing. This program is designed to meet that demand, providing individuals with the training and experience they need to thrive in this exciting industry. It’s an investment in your future and in the future of our communities.
