SEON has started 2023 with exciting news. As we are an organization advancing the principles and skills of building science and high performance building for our workforce and homeowners/landlords, we believe our website should reflect this vision. Also, come read about our 15 year Business Plan in 5 Year time frames.
SEON receives 3 grants from the Vermont Community Foundation
The Sustainable Energy Outreach Network (SEON) has received 3 grants from the Vermont Community Foundation over the past few months.
SEON awarded grant from High Meadows Fund
The Sustainable Energy Outreach Network (SEON) has been awarded a $12,000 grant from the High Meadows Fund. A goal of SEON is to brand the region of SE Vermont as a knowledge center of high performance construction and attract or retain young working age adults who are excited about learning this trade and contribute to solving our climate emergency.
Thermal Efficiency Working Group Report
Guy Payne and Peter Yost gave testimony on Workforce Training and Certification highlighting SEON’s Certified Level I High Performance Builder program and SEON’s support for Vermont’s Senate bill S.163 requiring mandatory builder registration and voluntary certification.
SEON included as a Vital Project for Windham Dounty region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
Southeastern Vermont Economic Development Strategies (SeVEDS), the economic development organization behind the CEDS, announced the plan’s top dozen projects during a press event at the River Garden. The Sustainable Energy Outreach Network (SEON) was one of the 12 making the list.
